Earl Kent Satterfield, Sr.

Mr. Earl Kent Satterfield, Sr. of 2037 Dan River Church Road, South Boston, Virginia, died March 11, 2012 at the Woodview under Halifax Hospice Care. He was born in Halifax County Virginia, September 10, 1931 and was 80 years old. He was the son of the late Isaac Jefferson Satterfield and Eula Forlines Satterfield and was married to Martha Davis Satterfield. He was a retired supervisor with Burlington Industries. He was a member of the Dan River Baptist Church and Sunday School Teacher. He was also a member of the W.O.W., Camp 106 and Dan River Community Ruritan Club. Mr. Earl Satterfield Sr. is survived by: Wife: Martha Davis Satterfield Two Sons: Earl Kent Satterfield, Jr. of Nashville, NC Brian Keith Satterfield and wife, Sandi of Halifax One Daughter: Sherri Satterfield Whitlow and husband Tony of South Boston, VA One Sister: Jo Meadows of South Boston, VA Six grandchildren: Gerren Bonura and Devin Bonura of Syrcuse New York Nicole Lynn Eutsler of Australia Jessica Satterfield of Alton Isaac Satterfield and Abigail Satterfield of Halifax, VA Two Stepgrandchildren: William Anthony Whitlow and Andrew Taylor Whitlow of South Boston, VA Preceded in death by one daughter, Bridget Satterfield Bonura Graveside Services for Mr. Earl Kent Satterfield, Sr. will be held, March 13, 2012, at 2:00 pm, at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, March 12, 2012 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at Powell Funeral Home and other times at the home.
