Debra Martin Woolbridge

Mrs. Debra "Josiephine" Martin Wooldridge was called home to be with our Lord Almighty, Monday, January 9, 2012, in her home at 3031 Clays Mill Road, Halifax, VA at the age of 56. She was born in Halifax County on December 6, 1955 where she remained a lifetime resident. Debra was a well known nurse and caregiver where she took care of many patients in the local nursing homes and private duty patients. She touched the lives and hearts of many with her kind and loving ways. Mrs. Wooldridge was also part of a big family that consist of 3 children, 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson as well as many brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. All who knew her loved her and she will be missed dearly. Mrs. Wooldridge is survived by: "The Love of her life" Kenneth L. T. Harris of Nathalie, VA Ms. Deloris Powell of Scottsburg, VA Also a loving niece and caregiver, Rhonda K. Daniel, who stuck by her to the end. "Josiephine" was preceded in death by: Her parents, Joseph and Mattie Martin One Brother, David Matthew Martin One Sister, Dorothy Mae Martin Paternal Grandparents, Howard Lacy and Annie Martin Maternal Grandparents, Wilson Hagood and Lucy Powell The family will receive friends and family at Powell Funeral Home, Wednesday, January 11, 2012 between 7 and 9 P.M. and any other time at the family home, 3031 Clays Mill Road, Halifax, VA Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 2 P.M. in the chapel of Powell Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Davis performing the ceremony. Special music will be provided by Tonya Whitt, Debra and James Stewart and Courtney Francis. Burial will follow the ceremony at the Clover Cemetery.
