Virginia Covington Hardie

Mrs. Virginia Covington Hardie of Richmond, Virginia formerly of Clover, Virginia died Monday, May 16, 2011 at Chippenham Medical Center. She was born September 20, 1916 in Halifax County, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Spencer Edward Covington and Bessie Conner Covington and was married to the late Addie Edward Hardie. Mrs. Hardie was a member of Mount Laurel United Methodist Church where she was chairman of the worship committee, president of the Ladies Bible Class for many years and was a member of the Ladies Missionary Society. She was president of the Women's Home Demonstration Club, chairman of the Democratic Party for Mount Laurel District, and was retired from the Virginia Employment Commission.
