Alfred Lee Burkholder, Jr. of South Boston, VA passed away May 22, 2022. He was born in Lynchburg, VA on September 16, 1957, and was 64 years of age. He was the son of Marilyn Yates Burkholder and the late Alfred Lee “Al” Burkholder, Sr. Lee was a man of service, he was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, served in the United States Air Force, and was proud to be a member of the Halifax Rescue Squad. He loved fishing, racing, boating, riding motorcycles, and RV camping. Lee loved living life to its fullest in everything that he did even when it came to helping others. He was extremely giving and hardworking. As the owner of Commonwealth Home Health, First Dominion Home Health, Personal Homecare and First Care Health Services, he worked hard to succeed, not just in business but in his relationships with his employees and customers. He even got his Computer Science Degree from the University of Texas and developed his own software for the company. He was a man with a big personality, a great sense of humor, and he will truly be missed by all who knew him. Alfred Lee Burkholder, Jr. is survived by: His Mother Marilyn Y.
