Ann Chappell Horton

Mrs. Ann Chappell Horton of Halifax, VA passed away at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital on Friday, November 9th, 2018. She was born in Halifax County on May 16th 1945 and was 73 years old.  She was the daughter of the late Robert Woodson Chappell and Nannie Bell Rutledge Chappell and was married to the late Larry Horton. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Christian Church and attended the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.   Survivors include:Two sonsHoward B.  Landrum Jr. and wife Lisa of Vernon Hill, VARobert C. Landrum of Chatham, VA.One daughterCynthia L. Davis and husband Forrest of Vernon Hill, VAFive GrandchildrenAmanda Davis Fisher and husband C.W. Fisher of Halifax, VAElizabeth L. Davis of Vernon Hill, VABrandon L. Landrum of Vernon Hill, VAKristin Landrum Gibson and husband T.J. Gibson of Danville, VARobert Landrum Jr. of Chatham, VAThree great grandchildren She was preceded in death by three brothersJackie Chappell, Pete Chappell, and Robert Chappell Jr. The funeral service will be held at Powell Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, November 12th, 2018 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Bill Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow at Halifax Memorial Gardens The Family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Powell Funeral Home and other times at her home.
