Annie Mae Kaywood Fuquay

Mrs. Annie Mae Smith Fuquay of Alton, VA passed away Friday, May 19, 2023 at the Berry Hill Health and Rehab. She was born September 13, 1935 in Halifax County, VA and was 87 years old. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Ruben Kaywood and the late Jenny Kaywood and was married to the late Robert Fuquay. She was a member of the Winns Creek Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and great-great grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She also loved helping her friends with shopping and doctor visits. Annie loved reading the local newspaper, TV, especially westerns and her puzzle books. She will be missed by all her friends and family. Mrs. Annie Mae Smith Fuquay is survived by: One Daughter Patricia Ann Morris of Danville, VA Three Sons Ronnie Allen Smith (Tammy) of Alton Robert Lee Smith (Janie Louise) of South Boston Lee Smith of Dillon, SC Sixteen Grandchildren Numerous Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren One Brother Charles Kaywood of Grassy Creek, VA Special friend Molly ***Preceded in death by*** One daughter, Elizabeth Smith Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the Winns Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Kopco and Rev. Norman Talley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, May 22,2023 from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son, Ronnie Smith.
