Annie Bell Smith Snead

Mrs. Annie Bell Smith Snead, 90, of Scottsburg, VA passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024, at her home. She was born April 6,1934 in Halifax County, VA to the late Samuel Howard Smith and the late Virgie King Smith. Annie was married for 68 years to the late Edward Dewey Snead Sr.

Mrs. Snead was a member of the Fork Baptist Church for many years where she treated her congregation like family. In her free time Annie enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. She especially loved cooking and enjoying a meal with her friends and family. One of Annie’s favorite activities was to dance with her loving husband Ed. Annie Bell Smith Snead will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community.

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Fork Baptist Church with the Rev. Ken Warfield officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Fork Baptist Church and other times at the home of Dewey Snead (7220 Dryburg Rd Scottsburg, VA 24589).
