Anthony Wayne Powell

Anthony Wayne Powell, 58 of South Boston, VA passed away October 8, 2023.  He was born in Halifax County on April 20, 1965 to the late Herbert Lester Powell, Sr. and the late Shirley Burton Powell.  He was married to Rhonda Redd Powell who survives.

Anthony loved to work on and tinker with things, always looking for ways to make things work better or just repair them so that they can have a new life.  But even more than that, he cherished his family.  His wife and his grandchildren were most near and dear to his heart.

A graveside service will be held Friday, October 13, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Halifax Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Don Bryant officiating.

The family will receive friends on Friday, from 1:00 until 1:45 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home and other times at his home.
