Aurelia "Lynn" Dance

    Ms. Aurelia “Lynn” Dance, age 71, a resident of Washington, NC passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019.

    Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2019 in the Chapel of Powell Funeral Home & Crematory in South Boston, VA conducted by Rev. Dr. Ridge Cullum.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Powell Funeral Home.  Burial to follow in Halifax Memorial Gardens in South Boston, VA.

     Lynn was born in South Boston, Va. on May 2, 1947.  She was the daughter of the late Frank Elbert Dance and Doreen Marguerite Edwards Dance.  Lynn graduated from Halifax County High School and later earned an associate degree in business in Richmond, Va.  Prior to moving to North Carolina, she worked with Burlington Industries in Virginia.  Lynn retired from the banking industry after working for several banks in the Washington, NC area.  She attended Wanoca Presbyterian Church. 

    Lynn is survived by her sister, Karen Dance Heggie and her husband, Skip of Pawleys Island, S.C., her step-mother, Dorothy Elliott Dance of South Boston, VA.  She was the love of their lives.  Lynn adored her family as she did her furry friends.
