GRANT, Bernice Claire Carroll Cowling

 Bernice was born on August 17,1931 and died on August 1,2024. She was predeceased by two sisters and three brothers, her first husband, Clifford Cowling Sr. and her second husband, Fred Grant, her son Michael Cowling, and her granddaughter Melissa Cowling. She is survived by her oldest son Clifford Cowling Jr., one grandchild and five great-grandchildren. Bernice lived life to the fullest and enjoyed friends and family. In later years she enjoyed devoted friends Theresa Pemberton and Danette McCracken. Both of these friends were her support base and loyal confidantes. The family wishes to thank the staff of The Laurels of Willow Creek rehab and nursing facility for their patient, kind and respectful care. 

Final services will be held on Thursday August 8, 2024 at 11:00 am at Powell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery, Scottsburg.
