Billy Leon Dyer

Billy Leon Dyer 81, of South Boston, VA passed away December 28, 2023.   He was born in Halifax County on November 29, 1942 to the late Gilbert Grant Dyer, II and the late Lucy Belle New Dyer.   He was married to Pauline Hazelwood Dyer who survives.

He was a member of The Harbor Church.  Billy was a painter and retired after many years of working and upon retirement he enjoyed working in his shop.  He loved a good joke and was quite the jokester.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 2. 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mark Boyd and Rev. Steve Dyer officiating. Burial to follow in Floral Hills Cemetery in Danville, VA.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, one hour prior to the service at Powell Funeral Home.
