Blanche "Bebe" Slate Osborne

Blanche “Bebe” Slate Osborne of South Boston, VA passed away August 24, 2021 while in rehabilitation in Richmond following a recent hospitalization. Bebe was born in South Boston, VA on July 28, 1931 and was 90 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Robert R. Slate and the late Elizabeth J. Slate. She was married to the late Andrew Bouldin “Bolie” Osborne.

Bebe was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of South Boston. She graduated from Averett College and pursued a very successful career in Human Resource management. Bebe loved reading, planting flowers in her garden, learning, and especially her family and friends.

Anyone who knew Bebe knew of her fierce independence, her spirited leadership, and her incredible positive influence.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, August 29, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at Oak Ridge Cemetery with the Rev. Garrett Bowman officiating.

A special thank you to her caregivers Alisha Coleman and Christina Foster-Tucker for the care and compassion they provided to Bebe.
