Brian Scott Jones

Mr. Brian Scott Jones of Scottsburg passed away on Friday, January 22,2021 in Richmond, VA. He was born in Halifax County on October 21, 1975 and was 45 years old. He was the son of Anthony Dean “Tony” Jones and Debbie Elliott Claiborne, both who survive. He was of the Baptist faith, was employed by Pizza Hut, and had a passion for music, especially guitar and drums. Survivors include: His mother Debbie E. Claiborne and husband Victor of Halifax His father Anthony D. “Tony” Jones of Brookneal One daughter Taylor Jones of Charleston, WVA One sister Whitney Greenway and husband Tim of Lynchburg Girlfriend of 18 years Staci Epps of Scottsburg Niece and nephew Harper and Wyatt Greenway Aunts Judy Boyd, Joan Rogers, Patti Elliott, Lisa Cates, and Gina Elliott He was preceded in death by grandparents, Rufus Elliott, Sally Elliott, Virginia Elliott, and by an uncle, Michael Elliott A graveside service will be held at Oak Ridge Cemetery on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Betsy Soto conducting the service. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service.
