Cabell Lacy "Sonny" Anderson, Jr.

Mr. Cabell L. “Sonny” Anderson, 79, of Halifax, VA passed away Friday, June 28, 2024, at the Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital. He was born March 17,1945 in Halifax County, to the late Cabell Lacy Anderson and the late Dorothy Lee Fallen Anderson Trent. Sonny was married to Mildred “Jean” Anderson for 44 years – they are now together for eternity. Sonny was of the Baptist faith. In his free time, he loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.

 Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Kopco officiating. Burial will follow at Halifax Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

 The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
