Calvin Duane Raney

Calvin Duane Raney of South Boston, VA passed away September 19, 2019.  He was born in Westboro, MO on April 15, 1928 and was 91 years of age. He was the son of the late Milford Smith Raney and the late Cecil Helen Mather Raney Harshberger. He was married to Delores Gay (Dee) Pierson Raney who survives.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, and past President of Daystrom, member of Rotary Club and an avid golfer.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Eldridge Cullum and Rev. Garrett Bowman officiating. Burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 24, 2019 from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home and other times at his home, 2009 Westmoreland St., South Boston, VA.
