Caroline Mueller Griffin

Caroline Mueller Griffin, formerly of Clarksville, passed away on October 24, 2023. She was 92 years of age.

She was born in New York City to the late George Stephen Mueller and the late Emma Caroline Wiegand Mueller on June 30, 1931. She married the late Edward Earl Langston and had two children: Katherine L Holoman (partner Gary) and Stephen E. Langston (wife Wanda). After Mr. Langston’s untimely death, she married the late James Lee Griffin and was his wife of 52 years.

Mrs. Griffin, a graduate of Mary Washington College, held jobs as a Legal Secretary and a K-6 teacher. She also served as both Girl Scout and Boy Scout troop leaders. In later years, she was an active member of Clarksville Presbyterian Church, where she was instrumental in Women of the Church, in the Sunday School program as a teacher, and as an avid member of various project teams.

Mrs. Griffin spent her life as an active member of the community who embraced challenges and looked for ways to make a difference.

A memorial service will be held November 11, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Powell Funeral Home with the Rev. Annette Gourd officiating. Burial to follow at Quantico at a later date. The family will receive friends on Saturday, one hour prior to the service at Powell Funeral Home. For memorials, please consider an animal rescue charity.
