Cecil Elton Jones

Cecil Elton Jones of Nathalie, VA passed away April 15, 2025 at the age of 79. He was born in Nathalie, VA on December 28, 1945 to the late Andrew Franklin Jones and the late Helen Crews Jones.

He was a member of Providence Church. Cecil served in the United States Army in the Army 1st Calvary Division Yellow Patch SP5 during the Vietnam Era. He was a retired tobacco and cattle farmer and found great joy working with the land and hunting the land with his dogs. He enjoyed seeing his family and friends and was always telling a good joke. Cecil was also a member of the Triangle Volunteer Fire Department, Woodmen of the World, and the Kerns Lodge #143 AF & AM. He was a former District Deputy Grand Master of the Masonic District #37. His passing will leave a void for all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Crystal Jones Yeatts (Chris), Amber Jones Martin, Tiffany Jones Francisco (Tony), and Andrew Elton Jones (Jacky) all of Nathalie; eight grandchildren, Abby, Peyton, Maddy, Parker, Lily, Reed, Greyson, and Dawson; two sisters, Ann McGuire of Yanceyville, NC, and Doris Emerson of Nathalie, along with a host of nieces and nephews. Also surviving is a special friend, Linda Hamlett.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Providence with Dustin Francis officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at his home.
