Charles David Conner

Charles David “Chuck” Conner of South Boston, VA passed away on July 13, 2023.  Born on March 12, 1957, in Halifax County, he was the son of the late Nettie Elizabeth Conner. 

Chuck was a loving devoted husband, father, brother, and friend who adored spending time with his family and friends.  He was a retired Quality Control Inspector from ABB.  Charles lived life to its fullest by hunting, fishing, boating on the lake and riding with his beloved dog Magnum by his side.  

He is survived by his wife of 40 years Sabrina Vaughan Conner; daughter and son-in-law Holly and Donnie Loftis of Roxboro, NC.  He is also survived by four brothers: William Brann “Bill” Conner (Sarah Wilmouth) of Vernon Hill, Donald Edward “Jiggs” Conner (Karen) of Vernon Hill, Lawrence Dean “Larry” Conner (Lisa) of Vernon Hill and Samuel Irving Conner of Halifax.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, July 16, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Pleasant Grove Christian Church with the Rev. Steve Whitt officiating. Burial to follow in church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening at Powell Funeral Home from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. and other times at his home.
