Charles Edward “Ed” Murphy of Virgilina, VA passed away April 15, 2021. He was born in Halifax County, VA on October 21, 1938 and was 82 years of age. He was the son of the late William Edward Murphy and the late Ruby Allen Murphy. He was married to Carolyn Nunn Murphy who survives.
He was a member of Aarons Creek Baptist Church, a Lifetime member of Midway Volunteer Fire Department and a Lifetime member of Aarons Creek Ruritan Club.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, April18, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at Aarons Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Pruitt officiating. Burial to follow in church cemetery. In keeping with CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19, we recommend the wearing of face masks and to practice distancing.
The family will receive friends Sunday, one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at his home.
