David Wayne Williams

David Wayne Williams of Scottsburg, VA passed away July 23, 2019.  He was born in

Halifax County on June 16, 1983 and was 36 years of age. He was the son of Janice Newcomb Puryear and Johnnie Mack Williams, Sr. and wife Carrie. He was married to Shawn Hutcherson Short Williams who survives.

He attended Clover Church of God of Prophecy.  David was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, swimming, and hanging out with his girls.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Clover Church of God of Prophecy with David Wayne Smith officiating. Burial to follow in church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 26, 2019 from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home and other times at the home of his father, 8187 J.D. Hagood Hwy, Scottsburg, VA
