Dodson Hill Felton Sr.

Mr. Dodson Hill Felton, Sr. of South Boston, VA passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018 at his home.  He was born March 19, 1924 in Halifax County, VA and was 94 years old.  He was the son of the late Raleigh Milton Felton, Sr. and the late Mary Agnes Hill Felton and married to Elizabeth Neese Brown “Betty” Felton, who survives.   He was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church. He attended Virginia Tech for 2 years prior to joining the US Army Air Corps.  He became an aviator during WW II and reached the rank of LT. Col. Before retiring after 30 years of service.  He was also a member of the American Legion Post 8 and retired founder and owner of Felton Brothers Transit Mix. He truly loved flying his aircraft and was an avid bird hunter and dog handler.   Mr. Dodson Hill Felton, Sr. is survived by: His Wife Betty B. Felton of South Boston Two Daughters Mary Berkeley Meares and husband Les III of Concord, NC Betty Jeff deGolian and husband Bill of Atlanta, GA One SonHill Felton, Jr. and wife Gail of South Boston Six Grandchildren Anna Hill Meares, Les Meares IV, Elizabeth deGolian, Mary Helen deGolian, Dr. D. Hill Felton III and wife Courtney and W. Mahlon Felton and wife Lauren.   Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Main Street United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wayne Rickman and the Rev.
