Dolly was born October 11, 1945 in Clover, VA. She moved to Maryland where she married, had her children and worked at Laurel hospital. She had a second chance at love when she was reunited with an old boyfriend, Doc Ligon. They decided to move back to Virginia. There she worked for the Halifax County school system. After almost 20 years she retired to spend time with her family in Maryland.
No one’s life is perfect. It is full of ups and downs. Dolly held fast to her faith in the Lord and is now reaping the benefits it in heaven. Those of us left behind still have our memories of a wonderful woman who brought humor, compassion and love to everyone she touched. She will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered.
