Donald “Don” Michael Joseph died on May 25, 2021 in Long Beach, California. Don was born on May 20, 1960 in New Castle, Pennsylvania to Donald Patrick Joseph and Charlotte Conley Joseph.

His niece Caitlin Owens Thompson (Charles) of Greensboro, North Carolina.
His nephews Robert “Bobby” Alan Owens of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Michael Joseph Owens
(Melissa) of Wake Forest, North Carolina.
A special aunt, Michelle Coy (Denny) of Geneva, Ohio. A host of cousins, friends, and relatives.

His brother Jeffrey Joseph of Columbia, South Carolina.
Don’s warm, loving personality touched those he met and guided him to renowned success in the music
business at a young age. He devoted his career to his passion for music and radio. In his early career, he
worked as a disc jockey for WHLF and WSBV in Halifax, Virginia and he was a Program Director for Radio
95 SX in Charleston, South Carolina. Later, he was a Record and Promotion Executive for Atlantic
Records. During that time, he sought out new bands and talent, promoting their records and setting up
radio interviews and events. He worked with several popular up and coming talents, including Skid Row
and Hootie & The Blowfish.
Don will be remembered for his kind heart, generosity, quick wit, and vivacious spirit. He loved his
family, and was a loving son, brother, uncle, godfather, nephew, cousin, and grandson.
In lieu of flowers, family asks that you consider Halifax County Cancer Association, 29 S Main Street,
Halifax, Va. 24558; The Salvation Army, or charity of your choice. A celebration of life will be held later.
