Donnie Ray Hudson

Mr. Donnie Ray Hudson of Scottsburg, VA passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.  He was born in Halifax County, VA on January 17, 1958 and was 65 years old. He was the son of the late Ray Hudson and the late Dorothy Ann Childress and was married to Phyllis Throckmorton Hudson who survives.  He was the owner of Donnie’s Sandwiches and Snacks.  When he was not working, he enjoyed riding his Harley or playing cards, and spending quality time with his family.

A memorial service will be held at Powell Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at 6:00 PM with Rev. Jack Stewart officiating.

The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home for one hour prior to the service.
