Doris Harmon Moorefield

Doris Lee Harmon Moorefield of Scottsburg, VA peacefully passed away on September 10, 2023.  She was born in Altavista, VA on July 16, 1935 and was 88 years of age.  She was the daughter of the late Frank Lee Harmon and Virginia Burnette Harmon.  She was married to Robert Johnson Moorefield who survives.

Doris was a member of The Revelation Baptist Church, and she was dedicated to all that she did. She worked for Plymcraft for many years before retiring. She loved feeding and watching the hummingbirds around her home, she even made sure that no matter how hard things got, even while battling cancer, they were provided for. She was dedicated to her plants as well, able to show off her green thumb by keeping some alive and thriving for over 40 years.

A memorial service will be held Monday, September 25, 2023 at 6:00 P.M. at Revelation Baptist Church.
