Earnest Owen Satterfield

Earnest Owen Satterfield of Scottsburg, VA passed away January 19, 2025 at the age of 86. He was born in Halifax County, VA on February 15, 1938 to the late William David Satterfield and the late Bessie Mae Carter Satterfield. He was married to the late Virginia Conner Satterfield. 

 Earnest retired from Burlington Mills as Head Yarn Man after 46 years of dedicated service. He found great joy working with the land and had a great passion for cattle farming. Earnest loved riding his FJ 40 Land Cruiser over his property taking care of his animals and enjoying the beauty of the land.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Halifax Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Aubrey Heath officiating. 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home.
