Edna "Elyle" Henderson Cole

Edna “Elyle” Henderson Cole of Halifax County, VA passed away January 20, 2021.  She was born in Halifax County, VA on October 7, 1927 and was 93 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Herbert Henderson and the late Edna Smoot Henderson. She was married to the late Keister B. Cole.

She was a member of McCanless Memorial United Methodist Church. Edna retired from Belk after thirty years of service. She was affectionally known as the “Shoe Lady”.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Oak Ridge Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Eldridge Cullum officiating. In keeping with CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19, we recommend the wearing of face masks and practice social distancing.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
