Ernest Wallace Gordon

Mr. Ernest Wallace Gordon of South Boston, VA passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Sentara Regional Hospital.  He was born in Halifax County, VA on November 25, 1940 and was 80 years old.  He was the son of the late Eugene Clarence Gordon and the late Marjorie Wimberley Gordon and was married to Nancy Newton Gordon who survives.  He was a retired mechanic from Tultex, loved to fish, play his guitar and sing blue grass music, build birdhouses, and work in this garden. He was a hard worker and kept himself occupied.

Great grandchildren
Malachi Farmer, Abigail Farmer, Noah Farmer, Grayson Foster, Levi Burkhalter, Lexi Turner, Remi Turner, Camryn Frady, Ava Frady, Peyton Frady, and Kylie Owens.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Hattie Gordon Hackney.

A memorial service will be held at Powell Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Thad Decker conducting the service.

The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home for one hour prior to the service and other times at his home.
