Eva Hughes Coates Hagood

Eva Hughes Coates Hagood of South Boston, VA passed away October 10, 2022.  She was born in Halifax County, VA on March 8, 1930 and was 92 years of age.  She was the daughter of the late Woodson Hughes and the late Ruth Nichols Hughes.  She was first married to Rupert Dean Coates, Sr. and later to the late Dr. Warren Cleaton Hagood.

She was an LPN with the labor and delivery in Halifax Regional Hospital.  Eva enjoyed nursing more than anything else.

A graveside service will be Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Oak Ridge Cemetery with the Rev. Vance Midgett officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at graveside.
