Evelyn Morse Cassada

Mrs. Evelyn Morse Cassada of South Boston, VA passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018. She was born in McCall, SC on September 1, 1920 and was 98 years old.  She was the daughter of the late Livingston J. Morse and Evelyn Stowe Morse and was married for 47 years to the late James P. Cassada.  She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. She also was a member of the YMCA of South Boston where she participated in water aerobics and chair exercise class for many years. Her YMCA friends were very dear to her and were an important part of her life. Reading was also an important part of her life as was the South Boston Public Library where she got most of her books.

James P Cassada Jr. and wife Diane of Richmond, VA
One brother
Douglas Morse of Williamsburg, VA
Two grandchildren
Stephen Van Fleet and wife Kim of Boiling Springs, NC
Beth Keller and husband David of Point of Rocks, MD
Two great grandchildren
Brecken and Destiny Keller
One great-great grandson
Hunter Keller
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob and David Morse

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Oak Ridge Cemetery at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Wayne Rickman officiating. 

The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home on Thursday from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM.
