Frances Elizabeth Cole Wilson of Halifax, VA passed away September 11, 2018. She was born in Halifax County, VA on December 5, 1931 and was 86 years of age. She was the daughter of the late John Talbott Cole and the late Vivian Garner Cole. She was married to Clarence Nelson Wilson who survives.
Frances was a dedicated member of Scottsburg United Methodist Church for over 60 years. She faithfully taught Sunday School and sang in the choir most of her life. If you knew Frances, you knew she loved her family. She showed her love best in the kitchen, always cooking for the family and friends. And always making sure you got more than enough to eat. She never missed a family gathering or celebration, and was at the center of countless family memories. Frances could talk long and laugh hard. She loved to dance with Nelson and listen to bluegrass music. She was warm-hearted and made everyone she knew feel like family. Frances was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
