Georgia Virginia Blanks Reeves

Georgia Virginia Blanks Reeves of South Boston, VA passed away May 10, 2020.  She was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on August 26, 1932 and was 87 years of age. She was the daughter of the late George Vincent Blanks and the late Annie Belle Pettigrew Blanks. She was married to the late Alvin Wade Reeves.

She was a member of Aarons Creek Baptist Church.  In her earlier years, she worked as a nurse at the former South Boston Hospital.

A private graveside service will be held Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Halifax Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Michael Riley officiating. In keeping with CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19, funeral service for will be livestreamed via Powell Funeral Home’s Facebook page.
