Gerald Bryant Hudson

Gerald Bryant Hudson of Halifax, VA passed away August 7, 2018.  He was born in Halifax County on November 27, 1947and was 70 years old. He was the son of the late Woodrow Hutch Hudson and Farris Paige Comer Hudson and was married to Ruth Irene Gordon Hudson who survives.

He was a member of Florence Avenue Baptist Church and was a retired Sheet Metal Mechanic with Comfort Systems USA. He also was a US Army Vietnam Era Veteran.  He loved his family, horses, goats and being outside.

Stephen and Savannah Farrar, Wyatt and Brandon Campbell, and Gage and Chase Hudson

Myrna West of Clarksville, VA
Bonnie Wilson of Virgilina, VA

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Stover Hudson and three sisters, George Anna Wilborn, Glenda Bowes, and Lottie Hudson

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Hudson and Rev. Mike Riley officiating.  Burial will follow at Halifax Memorial Gardens with Military Rites.

The family will receive friends Friday evening at Powell Funeral Home from 7-8:30 and other times at his home, 5176 Oak Level Road, Halifax.
