Gladys Smith Clark of Scottsburg, VA passed away March 18, 2021. She was born in Halifax County, VA on August 8, 1931 and was 89 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Cephas Carrington Smith and the late Virginia Susan Conner Smith. She was married to the late Richard Alexander Clark.
She was a member of Scottsburg United Methodist Church and attended Revelation Baptist Church. Gladys was owner and operator of Clark’s Self Service. She loved flowers, gardening, but most of all, she loved her children, grandchild and great-grandchild.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Oakland Cemetery with the Rev. Kenny Dunn officiating. In keeping with CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19, we recommend the wearing of face masks and practice social distancing. The funeral service will be livestreamed via Powell Funeral Home’s Facebook page.
