Glenn Thomas Stanley, Sr.

Glenn Thomas Stanley, Sr. of Scottsburg, VA passed away June 13, 2020.  He was born in Halifax County, VA on January 9, 1948 and was 72 years of age. He was the son of the late Clifton Judson Stanley and the late Virginia Roark Stanley. He was married to Joan Wright Stanley who survives.

He was a member of Centerville Baptist Church where he sang in the choir. Glenn loved fishing, hunting, training bird dogs and gardening. He will be most remembered as a loving husband, father, papa and friend.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Todd McClure and Rev. Greg Thomas officiating. Burial to follow in Ellis Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 16, 2020 from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home and other times at his home.
