Glola Worsham Osborne

Mrs. Glola Worsham Osborne of South Boston, VA passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, April 27, 2022. She was born in Halifax County, VA on December 20, 1934 and was 87 years old. She was the daughter of the late Bernard Thornton Worsham and the late Della Graves Worsham and was married to the late Herman Franklin Osborne. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, was a former member of the Halifax County Rescue Squad Ladies Auxiliary, and volunteered at the South Boston-Halifax County Historical Museum and the Good Samaritan. Survivors include: One daughter Christina O. Johnson (Steve) of Waukee, Iowa Two sons Jimi Church (Brenda) of Bedford, VA Frank Osborne of South Boston, VA Grandchildren Jacob Church of Bedford Avery Johnson of Durham, NC Trevor Johnson of Waukee, Iowa She was also preceded in death by one son, Tommy Church, one grandson, Ethan Stanley Johnson, and two sisters, Janey Worsham and Freida Worsham Kipps. A funeral service will be held at Powell Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Glenn Coleman officiating. Burial will follow at Halifax Memorial Gardens.
