Mr. Harrison R. Throckmorton of South Boston, VA passed away Friday, August 9, 2019 at the Sentara Woodview Health and Rehab. He was born August 21, 1932 in Halifax County, VA and was 86 years old. He was the son of the late Clyde Warren Throckmorton and the late Susie Langford Throckmorton.
He was a member of the Scottsburg Baptist Church, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and owner of Glen-More Clothing Store. He was also a member of the American Post 8.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Scottsburg Baptist Church with the Rev. Kermit Evans officiating. Burial to follow in the Oakland Cemetery, Scottsburg, VA with military honors.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Scottsburg Baptist Church and other times at the home of Susie Milam (Jonathan), 109 Edmunds St. South Boston, VA.
