Howard Eugene "Jughead" Crews Sr.

Mr. Howard Eugene “Jughead” Crews Sr. of Nathalie, VA passed away on September 2, 2021 at his home. He was born in Halifax County on September 5, 1949 and was 71 years old.  He was the son of the late Joseph Merritt Crews and the late Mamie Garber Crews and was married to Percy Mae Moore Crews who survives.  He was a member of Catawba Baptist Church and was a member of the local Union 73.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well watching his grandson, Trey race Nascar.  He loved to ride around and look for deer.  Always enjoyed fellowship with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by a step-daughter Katherine Hudgins, a stepson Anthony Todd Hodges, and a grandson Joseph Russell Stevens

A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 6, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Catawba Baptist Church with Rev. Norman Talley conducting the service.

The family will receive friends in Catawba Baptist Church on Monday from 12:30 PM until the service at 2:00 P.M. and also Sunday evening at the home of H. E. Crews Jr.
