Howard Claiborne Phillips

Howard Claiborne “H.C.” Phillips, Sr. of Halifax, VA passed away February 13, 2022.  He was born in Halifax County, VA on August 8, 1942 and was 79 years of age. He was the son of the late Henderson Lucas Phillips and the late Virgie Hall Phillips. He was married to Mary R. Phillips who survives.

He was a member of Beth Car Church and volunteered over 60 years with the Halifax Volunteer Fire Department.  He taught Auto Mechanics at Halifax County High School for 24 years.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Beth Car Baptist Church with the Rev. Reggie Warren officiating and Dan Spangler giving the eulogy.
