James P. Cassada

Mr. James P. Cassada, Jr. of South Boston, VA passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022 at the Clarksville Health and Rehab.  He was born September 1, 1942 in Halifax County, VA and was 79 years old.  He was the son of the late James Preston Cassada, Sr., and the late Evelyn Morse Cassada and was married to Diane Roberts Cassada, who survives.

He was of the Methodist faith and a graduate of Virginia Tech in chemical engineering.  He was a member of the Halifax Gun Club and served in the Army National Guard.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bob Sowder officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Powell Funeral Home.
