James Ewell Farmer, Sr.

James Ewell Farmer, Sr. of Vernon Hill, VA passed away August 23, 2020.  He was born in Halifax County, VA on April 2, 1946 and was 74 years of age. He was the son of the late Maynard Ewell Farmer and the late Evelyn Hall Farmer. He was married Jean Price Farmer who survives.

He was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and a United States Marine Veteran of the Vietnam Era.

A memorial service with Military Rites will be held Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Holmes officiating.

The family will receive friends at the home, 9049 Mountain Rd., Vernon Hill, VA.
