James "Buck" Harold Tatum, Jr.

Mr. James H. “Buck” Tatum, Jr. of Scottsburg, VA passed away Saturday, February 10,2024 at the Berry Hill Health and Rehab.  He was born in Halifax County, VA on December 2,1942 and was 81 years old.  He was the son of the late James Tatum, Sr. and the late Lola Carroll Tatum and was married to Ann Marie Crawford Tatum. 

 He was an active member of the South Boston Church of God and head of the food ministry for over 20 years.  He was an avid softball fan and also loved the Washington Reskins.  “Buck” also loved to rabbit hunt with his beagles. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

 Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. at the South Boston Church of God with Reverend Michael Allen officiating.  Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Scottsburg, VA.
