Janice Lipscomb Dixon

Mrs. Janice Lipscomb Dixon of Southport, NC and formerly of Vernon Hill, VA passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023.  She was born in Charlotte County on December 5, 1936 and was 86 years old.  She was the daughter of the late Harry Lipscomb and the late Mary Trent Lipscomb and was married to the late Ryland Eugene Dixon.  She was a member of Halifax Baptist Church and was retired from the Virginia Department of ABC. She loved all animals, especially birds and squirrels, which she kept both well fed.

She was also preceded in death by siblings Connie Dewitt, Ewell Lipscomb, Cecil Lipscomb, and Glen Stewart Lipscomb.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Halifax Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Collins officiating the service. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.
