Joanne Fisher Jackson

Mrs. Joanne Fisher Jackson, 75, of South Boston, VA passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at her home. She was born in Halifax County February 11, 1949, to the late Joe Fisher and the late Effie Louise Farris Fisher. She was married to the late Eric Woodrow Jackson. She was a former member of Clover Bottom Baptist Church and was currently a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Joanne worked as a switchboard operator at Halifax Regional Hospital for over 25 years. In her free time Mrs. Jackson enjoyed going dancing, listening to music, and working on her crafting projects. She was kind hearted in everything she did and was always known to have a smile on her face. Joanne will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held at Clover Bottom Baptist Church, Tuesday, October 15th, 2024, 2:00 PM with Rev. Shelton Miles and Rev. Phillip Wright officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at other times at the home of her daughter Belinda Poole, 1030 Cherry Creek Rd Nathalie, VA 24577.
