Joe Belt Allred, Sr.

Mr. Joe Belt Allred, Sr. of Scottsburg, VA passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital.  He was born October 24, 1940 in Halifax County, VA and was 79 years old.  He was the son of the late Theodore Belt Allred and the late Josephine Crews Wright.   He was a member of the Catawba Baptist Church and a U.S. Air Force veteran.   Mr. Joe Belt Allred, Sr. is survived by: Three Sons Joe Belt Allred, Jr. (Gayle) of Scottsburg Timothy Scott Allred (Lindsay) of Clover Mike Allred (Angela) of Cluster Springs Nine Grandchildren Seven Great Grandchildren Two Brothers Ted Allred (Linda) of Mebane, NC Jake Allred (Joyce) of Nathalie His ex-wife, Paulette Daniels of South Boston   Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the South Boston Church of God with the Rev. T. Wayne Daniels officiating.  Burial will follow in the Catawba Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors.   The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the South Boston Church of God and other times at the home of Paulette Daniels, 218 Chalmers St., South Boston, VA.   For memorials please consider a charity of your choice.
