Jonathan Matthew Scott

Jonathan Matthew Scott, 45, of Clover, Virginia passed away August 6, 2023.  He was born in Halifax County, VA on January 2, 1978 to William Arthur Scott, Jr and Judy Barley Scott who survive. He was a member of Mt. Laurel United Methodist Church.

Matt lived life to its fullest, whether he was coaching baseball, watching a race, or supporting his friends and family, he enjoyed every moment.  Matt will be remembered for his sense of humor, big hugs, his infectious laugh, hearty appetite and especially his enormous heart.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 10, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Laurel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dave Moreno officiating.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home and other times at the home of his parents.
