Judy Carol Perkins Ford

Mrs. Judy Carol Perkins Ford passed away on December 27, 2020.  She was born on August 23, 1954 in Halifax County to the late Neil Vernon Perkins and the late Janie Ellen Puryear Perkins. She graduated from Halifax County High School and attended Longwood College. When her children were small, Judy stayed at home and took care of them. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed being with them so much! Because she loved helping others and making them feel better, when her children were older Judy went back to school and graduated from Danville School of Nursing. She loved her patients and loved working with them.

Mrs. Ford attended Crystal Hill Southern Baptist Church when she was a child and was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

Mrs. Ford is survived by her husband William Graham (Billy) Ford; two daughters, Ginger Carol Eubank Davis and husband Melvin, and Jacqueline Ann Eubank and fiancé, David Martin; two sons, Justin Bradley Eubank and wife Jennifer, and Jeffrey Daniel Eubank and wife, Kristen; stepdaughter, Amber Lauren Ford; one sister, Kathleen Perkins Parker and husband Walter and one brother, Neil Vernon Perkins, Jr. and wife Jackie. Mrs. Ford is also survived by her grandchildren, Jade Eubank, Jax Eubank, Jake Eubank and Jett Eubank, Peyton Davis and Meredith Davis, Rachael Eubank and Alistair Eubank and Claudia Jenkins and Abigail Jenkins and David’s son, Phoenix Martin. She is also survived by her good friend and caregiver, Mrs. Sarah Hughes, who took wonderful care of Judy and made her last years as happy as possible.

Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Roy and Mary Willie Puryear and her paternal grandparents, Walter and Daisy Perkins, her parents, and one brother, Richard Terry Perkins.

There will be a graveside funeral on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Crystal Hill Southern Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Stewart officiating. Due to COVID-19, the service will be livestreamed via Powell Funeral Home’s Facebook page.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at 208 Yates St., South Boston, VA.
