Justyne Bennett Fisher

Mrs. Justyne Bennett Fisher of Halifax, VA passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the home of her daughter. She was born May 10, 1927 in Halifax County, VA and was 97 years old. She was the daughter of the late Henry Jason Bennett and the late Lizzie Younger Bennett. She was married for 74 years to the late Joe Thomas Fisher, Jr.

Justyne was a member of the McKendree United Methodist Church and was active with the WSCS. She was known for her cooking and baking, especially her pound cake. She was an excellent seamstress and made clothing for her family. One of the most important aspects of Mrs. Fisher's life was spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
