Lawrence Chesley Henderson

Mr. Lawrence C. Henderson of South Boston, VA passed away Saturday, June 20, 2020 at his home. He was born January 12, 1925 in Halifax County, VA and was 95 years old. He was the son of the late Scott Henderson and the late Rosa Kate Henderson and was married to the late Mary Blackstock Henderson for 67 years. He was of the Methodist faith and attended Union United Methodist Church. He was US Army veteran of WWII. Mr. Henderson loved fishing and playing bluegrass gospel music. Mr. Lawrence C. Henderson is survived by: Three Daughters Jackie Childress of South Boston Brenda H. Cobb of Elon, NC Wanda H. Roy of South Boston Three Grandchildren Michelle Nasrallah, Angie Moore and Cindy Carbaugh (Tony) Thirteen Great- Grandchildren ***Preceded in death by*** Two Grandchildren Pam Henderson and Wayne Henderson One Great-Grandchild Amanda Barney Two Sisters Virginia Landrum and Phyllis Henderson A memorial service will be held at a later date.
