Lois Chesson Cassada

Mrs. Lois Chesson Cassada of South Boston, VA passed away Friday, November 2, 2018 at Serenity of Sentara Woodview.  She was born in Salem County, NJ March 6, 1929 and was 89 years old.  She was the daughter of the late Ramon Morse Chesson and Isabel Lacy Chesson and was married to the late James Wallace “Mike” Cassada.  She was a member of Dan River Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and was the church pianist for many years.  She taught piano in Halifax County for over 52 years.  Survivors include:Carolyn C. Cassada of South BostonOne former daughter-in-lawRosemary Cassada of South Boston Former son-in-law Andy Hughes of Nathalie She was also preceded in death by one son, Steven Michael Cassada A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Dan River Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Gibson officiating. The family will receive friends at the church for 1 hour prior to the service.
